Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Atlas Energy collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: September 2026

Who we are

Atlas Energy provides renewable energy installations and energy assessments to homeowners, landlords and businesses across england. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at Enquiries@atlasenergies.co.uk.

The information we collect

When you complete an enquiry form, request a callback or contact us by phone or email, we collect the details you give us. This normally includes your name, email address, telephone number, property postcode, the service you are interested in and, where relevant, how your property is currently heated.

If you go on to become a customer, we also collect information needed to deliver the work, such as your property address, survey findings, system details and grant application information.

When you visit our website, our hosting provider may process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, in order to keep the site secure and working correctly.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange surveys and assessments, prepare quotations, submit and manage grant applications on your behalf, deliver and support the work we carry out, and keep records required for accreditation, warranty and legal purposes.

We rely on your consent where you have asked us to contact you, on the performance of a contract where we are carrying out work for you, on our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and on legal obligations where record keeping is required.

We do not sell your personal information, and we will not use your details for marketing unrelated to your enquiry without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is necessary. That can include installation and assessment teams working on your project, accreditation and scheme bodies where a grant or certificate is involved, our software and hosting providers, and our accountants or insurers. Every provider we use is required to keep your information secure and to use it only for the purpose we have given it to them.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law or by a regulator.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Customer and installation records are kept for as long as needed to support warranties, accreditation requirements and our legal and tax obligations, normally six years after the work is completed, and longer where a product or workmanship guarantee requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies needed to make the site work and keep it secure. If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy to explain what they do.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, to object to or restrict certain uses of your information, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

To make a request, email Enquiries@atlasenergies.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security and changes to this policy

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is always the current one.
